What to Expect for the Procedure

Generally the process will begin with our dentists preparing the tooth (or teeth) in need of a crown. This involves filing down the tooth to ensure there is enough room for the crown to be placed on top and look natural.

Next, digital impressions will be taken of the tooth in question so that our dentists have a 3D rendition to work with on the computer. Once the dental crown is digitally designed, it will be sent to the milling unit in our office responsible for carving out the new crown.

Our dentists will remove the newly-made crown from the unit and make sure it fits inside your mouth. The crown will then be cemented onto your tooth and finish by having you bite down normally.
