Kelsey, Dental Hygienist & Assistant
Kelsey graduated from Grand Rapids Community College, dental program, in the spring of 2017. I have always been interested in Dental Hygiene since I was little, so to be able to help others with their dental care is the most rewarding part of my job! In my free time, you can find me up north, outside in the sun, or attending a country concert!!
Rochelle, Dental Hygienist
Some people say my job is down in the mouth, but after five years of reducing plaque across this country, I’m still loving it! Saving the world from periodontal disease is nice, my favorite part about hygiene is getting to know my patients and learning interesting things about their lives and hobbies. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to believe they pay me to sit and talk to people all day, but don’t worry, I earn my keep. From educating kids about streptococcus mutans bacteria (sugar bugs) to working with digital x-ray and video technology, being part of Dr. Z’s team means staying abreast of the latest in technology and research. When I’m not working for Doc Z I love working with kids in camp, Bible Club, and in my church. I also enjoy skiing, sports, traveling, and ice cream! If you love that just-cleaned smooth feeling on your teeth, and you like to chat about your hobbies, kids, and grandkids then please come in and ask for me, Rochelle. (unless you don’t floss…then ask for Allyson and save me the sugar-bug speech).
Christy, Dental Hygienist
I am one of the hygienists on Dr. Zwier’s dental team. I graduated from Grand Rapids Community College and have been a hygienist for 18 years. I enjoy seeing new smiling faces everyday and getting to know about their lives. I am passionate about my work and love to educate people on how to keep a happy, healthy mouth! I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 17 years and we have 3 wonderful, busy boys. I enjoy cooking, bike riding with my boys, and spending time with my husband. I am blessed to be a part of Dr. Zwier’s team.
Miguel, Dental Assistant
I graduated Calvin College in January 2014 with a Biology & Religion major/minor and as a leader of the Pre-Dental Club. I’ve been interested in dentistry since I was five years old, and since being in the field, my love for it hasn’t faulted. I was privileged to join Dr. Zwier’s staff that April as a starting point to my learning. In the months that followed I quickly ascended the ladder and grew in knowledge. You’d call me a Jack-of-all-Trades kind of guy in the office. Not only do I assist Dr. Zwier with procedures, but I also help up front scheduling patients, taking payments, and making the office a better place for all. I thoroughly enjoy my job and I always strive to become better.
I like my morning coffee and am always eating. God and music are necessities in my life. I’ve lived in the Midwest my entire life, but I can’t stand being cold. On my days off I enjoy playing video games, cleaning, working out, hanging out with my fiance, and drinking beer with my roommates.
Shelly, Dental Assistant
I am new to Dr. Zwier’s office, but have been a Dental Assistant for 25 years. I graduated from Pikes Peak Community College in 1990, while living in Colorado Springs, CO. I hope to make your dental visit as easy and gentle as I can.
In my free time, I enjoy (when it’s warm) walking my dog or taking care of my flowers and lawn. I also enjoy spending time with family. I recently got married and now have ten grandchildren between the two of us. So family keeps me busy in my free time.
Sue, Front Office
Michael, Office Manager
I have been visiting Dr. Zwier ever since I was old enough to sing, “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.” Every day there are things behind the scenes that ensure you have a great experience and its a joy to play a small part in that. I love hearing your voices and seeing your smiles whether you are a brand new patient or have been a faithful patron for many years. If you have questions regarding financial options or ways we can improve our practice I am here to help. We are “Devoted to Excellence, Serving with Compassion” and I strive to live that out in all areas of life and share that with others. I like to play sports especially basketball and golf, mentor and coach, hangout with friends and family and have a lasting impact.
